Southern Ute Crossing Permits

I have a 4th season deer hunt coming up in 77/78/771 and was wondering if anyone could share some info on getting crossing permits for the Souther Ute Reservation.

We Scouted last year during this hunt and noticed some vehicles parked on the side of the road on tribal land with a card in the window with various areas checked off.

I looked on the tribal website and they list a phone number to call and if I remember they have to be picked up in person.

How much are they and is it worth it?

Thanks

I too looked at their website and my take is that unless you are hunting on the res or in a non res area (BLM, NF, Private) surrounded by res lands, you shouldn't need one. Looks like they are issued with a res hunting license. Probably used mostly by companies working on the res like oil/gas. There are lots of oil/gas leases in this area.

Yeah there are a couple of places we wanted to get to that you had to cross tribal land to do so, like 100yards of tribal land. I guess i need to call them. I was just wondering if anyone had done it before so I knew what to expect before I talked to them. I might get exactly what I am asking for from them, which may not be what I want/need.
