Southeast MT Public Land Mulies?

How have the past couple winters been? This winter? Last Winter? I know parts of this area were hit hard I think last winter or the winter before.

If anyone has any block management recommendations perhaps, feel free to PM me.

I'm not looking for a 200" booner, but would like a decent 4x4 to put on the wall.
If numbers are down and trophy quality non-existent I'd rather pass than try for a miracle.
So for the DIY public land hunter if this is near impossible I'd rather just pass.
Open to trespass fees on private land, but certainly not looking for a guided hunt.

Get yourself some good maps. Or if you have a gps get a card from here http://www.huntinggpsmaps.com/ I did not go hunting in SE Mt this year. But all my hunting buddies did. 6 guys went and they went 6 for 6 on 4pts, 4 of them got bucks between 158-166. It's always fun hunting eastern MT.

Sounds like a good hunt, i was going to make my way up there in november but family stuff and not but knowing the area other than driving through for my elk hunt earlier in teh year kinda held me back. Should of have at least did some exploring.
