I have found that if you want a tripod for a spotting scope to purchase a tripod. The Bog Pod works well for what it is and if you keep the legs short and place your hand on top of the spotter with a little pressure you will not get any wiggle out of it, but it still isn't a tripod.

I have same issue with mine. Then I got a surui and a Manfrotto and have been happy with both

I have the same issues with mine as well. I have decided I will live with it and have a light combo tool rather than the extra weight of any of my tripods for personnel hunting . I have to pick my set ups a little wiser when the wind is blowing but have been overall happy with it so far. It is a matter of picking and choosing I guess.

I agree with the others. I have two Bogpods and seldom use either. The tall one gets used when getting rifles on paper before going to the bench, the shorter one almost never. I got the rifle rest adapter for the Outdoorsmans tripod I bought. With the tripod, pistol grip head, shooting rest, and the panner adapter I can glass very steadily and shoot from it when needed. It wasn't cheap but works really well. They gave me a discount for ordering the whole set-up together.

I use my bog pod often,,,I was wondering if maybe a small bolt might help it from rocking,,though it takes extra time to pull off and convert to the rifle rest?Im thinkin that might work?
