LOL! That pic was actually taken in the yard of the place we were staying. We were lucky enough to be able to bring him out whole for some good photos. Next time will have a good camera in my pack for some field photos. I actually self filmed this hunt and shot him at 300 yards. Have about 10 minutes of good footage of him coming in! He came from 600 yards to 300 in a hurry when a big bull elk spooked him right to within good shooting range.I'll say gross 166, net 161. Heck of a nice buck! Who's yard did you kill it in? Joking

He'll easily gross in the 170s or better if he's as good as what the picture looks, but with the right side being smaller in both forks than the left side he'll lose a few inches net under the B&C system. I've hunted out in Wyoming an awful lot and not seen anything better than that buck you got on your first trip, so a big congrats. If you get one better I'll really give you a big pat on the back!

Thanks Topgun! I felt like I had a lucky horseshoe for sure on my first trip! My buddy killed a toad of a buck also about a week later while I was with him. I definitely feel blessed to have be given an opportunity at him. My goal for the trip was a 150" buck and as soon as I saw him I knew he was that!

Beautiful buck. Looks like he didn't live too far from the hay stack . . . I give him 165-170. If his right side was as big as his left I'd give him closer to 175.
