My personal preference would be the Leupold. I have a number of them and have had zero problems on any of them. One VX II is 40 years old and is still crystal clear as the day that I bought it.

I don't understand why anyone would even consider a scope that didn't have the gold ring. Makes no sense to me. I own a lot of them and each one has a special place in my heart! LEUPOLD RULES!

They are legendary, quality scopes, no doubt, but sometimes folks-myself included-need to make budgetary choices. 😆

The deer I've killed and targets I've punched didn't seem to care that they met their demise thru a Burris. 😉

Burris is a good scope also. I have one on a Thompson Center Contender in 7-30 Waters and that right there is a good reason to purchase one.

But for my rifles I'll stick with my Leupolds.

Thanks for all the advice. Put a VX2 on it and we were hitting a 4in gong at 200 yards in less than ten minutes
