Rut Elk Hunting?

Hello Everyone,

As a non-resident, that would like to go on his first archery bull elk rut hunt... I was curious some units that could be drawn in 2-3 years. I am not after a 380" bull, just good rutting action and a shot at taking my first bull elk. Any information to get started helps.

Just a few are 4,5,12,29, and 501. These all require 2-3 points. Another two dozen require 0-2 points. I would recommend subscribing to a website called Hunters Trailhead. It gives you draw odds and trophy potential for every unit in the west for residents and non residents. It breaks it down by species and method of take. The cost is very reasonable. Another website is huntinfool but they are a lot more expensive. Huntinfool does offer more for services but is 100.00 dollars for the yearly fee. Hunters Trailhead is around 25.00.

I would do OTC hunt in CO if your just looking to kill a bull in stand of waiting
