Hello I'm going on a hunt this year in an area around 7,500 feet in elevation. The problem is that there is no way for me to sight in my rifle up there and I live around 400 feet. Any suggestions on how I might solve this problem. I want my rifle sighted in at 100yds. I'm shooting an old ruger m77 .270 150 grain. Thanks

Please see the other thread where you asked the same exact question! Also, most websites have rules not to make identical posts like that. Have a good hunt.

You can find ballistics calculators that will help you with this. Put in bullet information and wx information and that will give you a good idea where you should be compared to the same data you enter for the elevation you have your rifle sighted in at. I use max point blank range method which you can look up online. Basically my 30-06 is sighted in at 300 yards within an 8 inch circle if I hold right over the vitals. I feel confident at that distance and not much past that. Just my setup yours may vary.
