Resident draw question...

Alright, just figured I would see if any WY residents have an answer for me, otherwise ill just call game and fish....So I put in for a 1st and 2nd choice elk....Now if i dont draw my 1st, as of the stats of the tag i put in my 2nd choice there is actually a chance of drawing it if it is anything like last year...Now if that were to happen and I decided I did not want to wait for those season dates and would rather hunt a general tag and archery hunts depending on where my work takes me, Can I return an LQ tag drawn for just a general tag? I looked pretty substantially in the regs and could not find anything to answer my question, so just wondering if anyone has a clue.

I know the unit. .have hunted it before and enjoy it ..but with changing careers and not knowing exactly where i will be. .i was debating if id rather just a general tag that i could hunt during archery in a lot more areas. ..but o well. If i draw either my 1st or 2nd ill be happy. ..otherwise i will just take my general!

Ya same here...I was blown away last year when i looked at it after the draw! haha. I am expecting it to go in the first choices as well, but figured i might as well put it as a 2nd being that i know where and how to hunt it.
