Skip the BBQ and take her to the Steak House at the Atlantis! Went there during the WSF show in January! By far the best ribeye I've ever ate! It's not cheap, but she's worth it! Make reservation! You won't be disappointed!

If the wife wants BBQ you give her BBQ no matter how great the steaks are if you want to keep peace in the family and earn man points.

But you can always take her to the steak house another time

My favorite bbq place is Carolina Kitchen on Glendale but it has weird hours. If you go now they have a fish fry and crawdads i think on Friday.

The best is Bj's BBQ on Victorian. Family owned and operated. If your more into the steakhouse atmosphere that has awesome BBQ ribs and chicken Ruby River across from the Peppermill is hard to beat. They also have awesome Ribeye and Prime Rib.

What? Really? Tell me why?

I've eaten my weight in beef there and never had an issue. Dan Pickar and I ate there a month ago and it was perfect.

I do love a good steak but she specifically requested BBQ, it is her birthday. I did mention the Basque place cause I've been wanting to try it but it's a no go.
Like the saying goes "happy wife, happy life".

We went with advice of IKC and a few other locals and went to to BJ's on Victorian and it was quite good. The beef brisket was nice and tender and not overly smokey. The ribs were also excellent as was everything else. The Kickass fries left a little to be desired but overall it was very good.
The waitress was also excellent and showed great patience with my elderly and somewhat troublesome in-laws.
Thanks for the reccomendation.

I know you've already taken her out, but Q's in Carson City is pretty good BBQ.

Now since it is your turn. Have her take you to Louis Basque Corner. Very good Basque food. Make sure to try a Picon Punch or two.

Naw. The only Picons to watch out for are at the Star in Elko. The rest are tame. My record is 9 in one sitting.

The best Picon I've ever had was made by Kathy at Cold Springs Station East of Fallon. She used to tend bar in Ione and Belmont. She told me that Picons were like women's breasts. One is not enough, two is just right, and three....something's wrong?!?
