Seen that this morning. For the life of me I cant understand how a gun manufacturer could go out of business in times like this. Gun shops cant keep guns on the shelf!

Poor management.

They are not going out of business but a reorganization of their debt.

It is quite common anymore in the business world.

Remington's quality control and customer service has been pretty awful for many years now.
Probably started after they were bought by Cerberus and they started with their cost cutting measures anywhere they could no matter the consequences.
It's not the first time this has happened with companies swallowed up by Cerberus which is an investment co. who will get their investment $$ out no matter what happens after they leave.

If they do come back, I'd like to see them focus on quality.

I think there's a huge market for a quality rifle that shoots great, looks great, for $1000 instead of some ugly stick that may or may not shoot great for $450. Just my opinion.
