wanting to get into reloading. and looking for the best reading material i help me get started. website that would help. i am very new to the reloading world. thanks for the help

There are very informative sights like reloadersnest.com also load data books have good info in the front I alwayse learn more than anything in forums

I taught myself how to reload last year. The internet was the only way I was able to do it. Youtube videos were the most help as reloading is certainly something you need to see to understand. The written instructions make much more sense after some of the videos. I found some good ones by searching the specific model of reloading supplies I would be using on the internet.

Hornady's reloading manual is pretty good about explaining things.

Barnes's book is very informative as well. I also know RCBS has a dvd and a book on basic reloading also

I use the Leopold Boone and Crockett with my 7mm. I have found some of the factory loads are not consistent at long range. So have gone to hand loads with aerodynamic bullets and very precise powder measuring. If you are going to shoot long range get the load right, then practice, practice and more practice. I never shoot with a hot barrel with no more than three shots fired between cooling. Keep the barrel clean as well and site your rifle in at elevations that are near the elevations of your hunt. Being good at this game is much more difficult than the novice realizes. I also use the power setting I sighted in with to shoot with in the field, especially at long range. Just a few thoughts from a guy who has been doing this for years.

I can understand not having internet access, but I would strongly recommend trying to find something to watch if at all possible. There are some decent books out there, but nothing can replace seeing it and having someone explain it as they go along. I can't recommend any specifically, but it would probably be worth it to find a DVD on the subject.

I strongly recommend you pick up "The ABC's of Reloading", as well as a good reloading manual or two. I was basically self taught, from books and the internet, but if you know of somebody who could show you the basics, I'd recommend that if possible too. Lots of articles on reloading online. Once you read a book or two you will know what to search for on the internet.

i really apperciate all the help. i just got my girlfriend into hunting and shooting and she love it. she just shot her first turkey this weekend at 55yds. a hell of a shot. so im just looking to save sum money in the long run. i kinda understand the thought behind the bullets and grain. just have no idea on how to reload. so like i said i really do apperciate all the help

I would get onto RCBS.com and start there. I bought their starter kit which came with the basics of everything you will need and when i got it, it came with a hornady manual, but i would get a manual for which ever bullet you want to shoot. I love shooting Sierra's so i call them, get advise from them and bought their manual. RCBS has step by step instructions on how to reload, but also do your homework and read alot. I taught myself too, but i did alot of reading. It takes time and 100% of your attention, if you want to do it right. But start there, thats what i did and i have it down really well now!

just a word of caution. when you start out, follow loads given in manuals not those listed in forums. I have on numerous occasions read recipes that far exceeded safe pressures.
