My two son's from here in Oregon went into Region G last September, first time, up out of Afton. All kinds of inclement weather, rain and snow. They backpacked in--three days later had to come out and dry their gear.... Went back in a couple days later.....on the 7th and final day my youngest son harvested a magnifant 390, 4x5 (the 5th being a cheater)....at the same time my oldest son missed one next to the 390 that was also a dandy.... They were at 8,000 foot elevation and shooting across a steep draw 430 yards..... Unbelievable rugged country.... They want to go back.....I am too old for that type of hunt! Dang.
