Region E Deer

Just wondering if anyone has hunted around Lander in the last couple years unit 92? Only have one point, trying to narrow it down, where to go. Or 128, I guess that region is pretty big, SE of Lander also. SW of Lander looks like cool country! Only been through there in the dark. Thanks for any advice!!

So those areas are covered by the General E tag? That tag just draws which seems strange. Bunch of wilderness in both those units. We spent time southeast of there in all that BLM land last summer. Huge, remote country. Love it.

Yeah, some nice country in 128 too. Would be the general tag though. Anyone have any tips for that area. Do the bears have everything chased out of there, wolves?

Both 92 & 128 get quite a few resident hunters for both deer and elk in the respect that they're general tags for both species. In both 92 & 128, the deer and elk seasons run concurrently as well. This is just something you'll deal with in about any area in the state that has general tags for both species. The more arid general deer areas in this region see less hunters and can be good hunts as well if you have some time to scout before the season. All in all, you have several options you can consider with a tag in this region being it has several general tag areas.
