I love mine, I have had both the 530hxc and the 655t. They are a great tool but the features won't be fully utilized unless others in your party has one. My buddy and son and law has one, and we are able to keep track where each other are during the day, ect... The weather radio is nice too. They will communicate with other handheld radios if you want to use it that way, but tracking your partners or sending them waypoints won't work.

We have the 530 garmins also. really cool. The solar chargers will not charge the big lithium batteries fast enough for heavy use. I got 10% charge in 4 hrs of 95 deg direct sun with a goal zero 10 plus. Garmin sells a battery pack that holds 4 AA batteries. You can run the rechargable batteries from goal zero, take some duracells along, or both. On my solo hunt, I may be fine because i won't be transmitting. It is a tank for a GPS. It sucks to carry this big radio on a solo hunt when you are only using the GPS.

I have a 520 that I use and a 120 to loan out to whoever I hunt with who doesn't have one. I haven't used the 120 much but like the 520.
