So myself and a few others are looking to start buying deer points this year with plans to draw a decent tag in a few years, if we apply as a party and all of us have multiple points do the points combine?? By the way we are all non residents.. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated

ssliger is correct. Suppose your party of 4 has a total of 19 points between all of you. 19 divided by 4 hunters = an average of 4.75 points. This means that your draw would be after those with 5 points but before anyone with less than 4.75.

Hope this helps.

Good explanation and example, as Wyoming goes with the exact average of the party and doesn't round up or down.

If you all have no points now and you all all buy a point every year all of you will have the same # of points so if you all buy points for 3 years and them apply you will have 3 points as a party going into the draw. The points get divided by the # of hunters like CC said if say 1 guy has 3 points, 1 has 6, and 1 has 4. I guess technically they always get divided but if everyone in your party has the same # of points the # doesnt change.

Correct...If everyone in the party has the same # of points, then that is the party average.

So from the posts above if a party of three non residents apply for next season and one has a point and the other two have 0 their party draw would be after those with 1 point but before those with no points?
