My first and only NV bull from 1996. Building points again and hopefully will draw another one before I'm too darn old.

Everyone says that I am older than dirt but that is a little bit of a exaggeration. I remember playing in the dirt as a young lad so we have to be close to the same age.

For some reason I have never been a shutter bug taking pictures when I can just look at what is in front of me. Heck I have taken more pictures in the last 5 years than I did in all the other years that I have been alive. I didn't have a camera when I shot my first elk. A nice 6x6 in the bottom of a canyon where our camp was on top. Even the next 10 or so never got a picture taken of them and even my 343 bull out of the Book Cliffs in Utah didn't get a photo until he was hanging on the wall.

Here he is.

Got my first elk in 2011 based on sheer luck, didnt harvest another one until 2016 and got my third in 2017. Hunting style has done a complete 180 and Im glad its paid off!

My first bull. Nevada 2006 with a couple guys you might recognize.

One of the best and Hardest hunts I've ever been on to date. I learned more in that week with Guy about hunting then I gathered in years of hunting on my own.

Great times with amazing friends.
My hunting partner Jeff is there too.

Shot my first in the late 80s. Took me three years to get this one with a bow. All mine have been taken with a bow.
Didnt think I would ever get the first. But after the first it seemed to come easier.

3 miles from the truck so ended up sleeping under a pine tree in the snow no bag just a fire. Dig the swiss army wool pants and wool jacket!! Pretty cool back then.

Next year shot my first P&Y I was ecstatic!!

My first elk. Cut a single track in the snow, and about 3/4 of a mile later I shot her in her bed at 12 yards, she never stood up.
