Trouble is poachers will poach and even in the name that they are given such as poachers it means that they will not follow the law so this penalty is like telling your kid to go stand in the corner for 10 minutes.

If they really want to hurt these people then need to give them a real fine and require it to be paid along with a lengthy jail sentence.

Driving around at night to poach makes those kind of violations add up. No licenses, no telling how many they actually shot, and 2 are young men. Sad sad sad .

When I was an active police officer, I went to court once on a case where the guy had two violations for "Driving After Revocation." The penalty set by the judge was his DAR was extended by six months. DUH!!

Yeah, I mean, with that many violations you'd think there would be at least some jail time or felony convictions. A penalty with some meat might make someone think twice about doing it and also keep the "pros" who get caught locked up and away from doing more of it.

Taking their hunting privileges away? Like Jim P says, they won't stop. It's obvious they have no regard for the laws. But at least they did loose the legal privilege for 25 years. Our Nebraska Dustin Nobel was charged with 70 plus counts and pled to guilty to 15 counts in a plea agreement. Only lost his privileges for 5 years if I remember correctly. Google the name for the story. Sad in my opinion.

They should get community service. It should have to sit in a lawn chair and monitor the water sources in Eastern WY during winter to make sure the water doesn't freeze. Maybe some winter kill justice could come their way.

A few years ago here in IL I think they made your 5th DUI a felony!

Your 5th! Most people know these multi DUI folks learn how to not get a 3rd dui!

They could've made it your 10th or 20th dui, 5 I thought was ridiculous.

Not to mention all these hit and runs they don't get a dui for...

I could say, 'only in Iowa'...😛

What I want to know is how they or anyone could rack up 58 violations? 😨

Side note,

25 years? won't that just mean they'll start hunting/poaching again next year? as waiting 25 years will never happen...

Sometimes I think something like 5 or 10 years might make more impact...
