I am wondering how many people are aware that they can get a free pioneer license if they are at least 65 years old and have lived in Wyoming for at least 30 years? I recently found out about it and got mine on Monday. It appears to be a heck of deal.

You get a fishing license, a conservation stamp, a upland bird license and a small game license. This is about a $60 per year value.

Check it out.

I didn't realize that was actually legit. We always joke about putting a "pioneer permit" on a deer shot out of season. Thanks for the info.

I would move to Wyoming in a heartbeat if my family would go along with it. Call me a carpetbagger if you want, but I promise that I wouldn't Californicate the place.

In this corner of the state we would even understand your accent. The No-Daks kindof sound the same as Minnesota to me. You might have to take up Prairie sailing instead of canoeing though.

Lol, well maybe not. that kindof sounds like the start of an Ole and Lena joke. Ah reckin pert ner e'r buddy's got an accent a sum sort or another. I'm not really sure what a Wyoming accent is like. I think people on the east side of Wyoming talk with their mouths closed to keep the dirt from flying in. They also walk with a pretty good lean to keep from falling over.

Well hell...I get a free fishing license here in Colorado for being a resident and over 65! Wyoming was my choice for retirement 25 years ago, but couldn't convince my wife!!
