Packing and shipping your trophy

I like the video. Another good one in a line of basic how-to videos.

The next question for most novices who are hunting out of state is, "How do I get it frozen solid before I ship it?"

Maybe even before that, what size box is that and where do I get one to keep folded in my truck for when the time comes? The foam board you can get at home depot and cut it to fit.

If you take your meat to a locker plant or butcher to cut it up they may allow you to place it in their freezer to freeze it. You may even look at a taxidermist in the area that you shoot your animal in and see if they would cape and freeze the cape for you so that you can ship it. That would do away with a lot of weight of the head once the antlers are cut off of it.

For the box, check with a U-Haul dealer that sells boxes or even a UPS store and see what they have available.
