Packers or drop camps for elk to get outfitter odds?

Does anybody know of packers or an outfitter that provides drop camps so we could use the outfitter odds for drawing? I wouldn't mind have ourselves packed in and out, or a base camp, but I prefer to do my own hunting at my pace with my decisions. We plan on an archery hunt, if we draw. I would like to put in with the outfitter group, after not drawing Wyoming with 6 points. Just don't want to be fully guided. Maybe it doesn't work that way. Any advice would be appreciated.

Based on what I've heard so far, and confirmed by the game and fish, they would qualify. You have to have contact with them 2 days, so a day in and a day out would work.

Not sure on the rules surrounding that but drop camps are great on certain hunts. I have been on a couple drop camp hunts and it is way cheaper than an outfitter, hunt the exact area you want as well as not have the inconvienience of setting up camp and having to make sure you have all the camping gear. Next year we are actually concidering having a drop camp with a full time campy to look after camp, cut wood, make meals etc... It actually doesn't cost that much more especially when you split the extra cost 2 or 3 ways and makes camp a whole lot more comfortable. personally splitting wood making meals, fetching water, tending horses, etc... is the last thing I want to do after a long day of hunting especially when it gets to day 7 or 8 of the hunt. Just my 2 cents

I don't know if going with the outfitter draw is going to be better I talked to NM g&f and they told me all outfitter tags nonres and res come out of the same pool of 10% tags. Don't sound good to me....
