I got my tag in the mail today and am kind of at a loss of where to start. I was counting on drawing one of my first two choices based on last year's statistics. Since that didn't happen, I'm reevaluating my plan.
The DOW hunt guides on the website paint a pretty bleak picture for a guy without private land permission. Given the lack of public land east of I-25, I'm looking west and north of I-70.
I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm not looking for a specific waterhole or a trophy class animal. I just want an opportunity to see some animals on public ground that I may be able to make a move on.
Maybe units 14 or 15?
I've never hunted pronghorns before so I'm all ears to any suggestions.
PMs are welcome!
Thanks for any advice!
