Thought I'd post a pic of my OR Misc. 2014 048.jpgBlacktail. Each year I head out to multiple states for multiple species, but hunting blacktails at home with the family is still one of the most challenging and fun hunts each year!

nice blackie i will agree with you that they are one of my favorate to hunt too. it makes going to other states and finding game seem so easy!

That big guy never got killed as far as I know, so he should be waiting for you next season.

Blacktail are awesome looking critters, especially when they get old and grey faced, with big knarly heavy bases on their antlers. I didn't find one of those this year, still happy with the one I got though.:)

Congrats on filling your tag with a nice buck! I hunted hard and even with my trail cameras helping me hunt a couple nice bucks I still never got my eyes on a legal buck this year. They are one elusive creature at times and at others times you can't believe where you spot them.....I just spotted a nice 3X4 in a small wooded grassy area that separates the north and south bound lanes of I-205. Go Figure.
