Curiosity, how many of our forum users used this product this year?

I am betting that Antelope hunters probably use this more than any other hunter.

I finally used it when they updated to V4. Mostly Elk hunting with a little bit on the Antelope hunt. Worked flawlessly.
It still has a way to go on the web map side to be a stand alone solution for me. I have to be able to import geo referenced maps, primarily geopdf. If I need to convert, I can do that but everywhere I hunt has TMA's that are supplied as geopdfs and I need the ability to use those on the web for Internet Scouting as well as import those into the handheld. The SAT imagery and roads are good, the topo is a bit weak but I don't use that option so it's not a real concern. With the TMA's and limited open roads, I also need the ability to change colors of roads or at least have the ability to create a track over the open roads on the web map, transfer those to the app, then change the colors for better clarity. I believe most of that is coming in future updates.

I really think this would work very well in states like Montana and Wyoming that have a lot of private ground mixed with public. I've used mine quite a few times and found myself on property I should have been on.

Yeah, you guys in Nevada don't have to worry about that nearly as much as we do.

I just used offline on my phone this weekend. Mix of forest service, timber company, and other private. Worked great. Even though I didn't have service I could zoom in and track my location very well. Everything seemed quite accurate. I leaned on it quite a bit. I would recommend
Cheers.
He shot that antelope right next to the pavement. Haha. That makes it easy

I have been using onXmaps onX HUNT for many years. Been on the Pro-Staff for also many years. I require my hunters who are via emails to use either in GPS or Mobile. I send them waypoints. Most have both forms and do not hesitate to purchase the whole meal deal. A great product to do research in the Mobile APP. Believing in onX HUNT and knowing you will stay legal, find new spots to hunt, success will follow.

I downloaded the maps for an antelope hunt this past week. I went with the medium level download, about 120 mb, or so ea. That part worked well. However, my maps kept showing more then the antelope hunt unit boundaries even though antelope was what was selected. That was a bit frustrating and it didnt matter if i was in online or offline mode.

The app will only save the layers that are turned on when you create the offline map and only the unit boundary for the species that's turned on. If you're seeing other layers I'd suspect the app is using cellular data.

I thought that too so i put my phone in airplane mode and it still was showing multiple units.

I use the SD card in my GPS. I use it quite a bit. I am curious to see maybe tryout the phone app. I use it for antelope hunting, deer hunting, and elk hunting. I have both the Utah and Wyoming SD cards. It has allowed me to hunt places with confidence and not worry about if I am on private or public.

I have been using onXHUNT in the chip form for many years. I use the GPS in the field, but the mobile for a few years to do research on the IPAD. Giving out waypoints to hunters, I expect them to have at least a GPS with onX HUNT. Many are now using the mobile side on their phones. It has made it easy to share waypoints in the field. I do fine it is easier to fine locations, landowners and much more faster. There are so many layers that will help the hunter on the mobile side, simply amazing!
