There have been lots of questions regarding supplemental nutrition/diet here and on other boards.

Here is a great resource regarding nutrition for the athlete. My wife is a Registered Dietitian and she gave her stamp of approval on this post :D

My wife's suggestion to me when I asked her about supplements years ago was "real food is always better for you" and " a proper diet is just as important as your exercise routine", and of course " all foods in moderation". If there is a supplement that works for you and you can afford it, go for it. Supplements can get expensive quickly. If you take the time and plan there are usually real foods that can fill the need, will better for you, and cost less.

anyway...this is a really good resource that she/I have used. I have had pretty good success getting back into shape using some of this info. I am probably in better shape today than I have been in the last 10-15 years.

btw....I'm still trying to fit the nachos and beer into the "real food" and "proper diet" categories but for right now they go under "all foods in moderation"

and she asked me to add:
this advice/resource does not constitute or replace a clinical nutritional consultation. If you have specific dietary needs or restrictions consult your Dietitian or Physician.
