looking for some info for this unit i have tag . talk to some people devils garden but not giving me to much info. thank for any help

Really tough hunt, it misses the rut, if you get lucky they will start bugling the last couple days of season. The elk are really scattered. your best chance is sitting water or tree stand a trail and wait them out.

I do NOT know of this CA hunt. But i will share this. I drew a NV early archery tag, one of the 2 in the state that are pre-rut. Boy, it's tough. I don't mean to sound discouraging. However, be prepared to hunt in the heat, hunt basically nocturnal bulls with limited AM/PM movement, and expect very wary elk.
I did not harvest a bull last year, saw a good amount of elk, but man it's just a tough go with those dates.

Thank all. do know any guides I will go up to scout end of july looking for a few spot to start.
