NM Unit 45 weather

I'm headed to Unit 45 in a couple of weeks for the second rifle season (my first elk hunt, I couldn't be more stoked). Anybody know what kind of weather is "normal" for this kind of year for that area? I know weather in the mountains is unpredictable and I'm packing accordingly. I was just wondering what I should be expecting. Thanks in advanced!

Also if anybody would like to give a newbie some pointers on hunting 45, it would be much appreciated. For now we're planning on backpacking into the pecos. We're thinking either on the north side or near Cowles.

Did you build enough points for this unit or were you one the lucky ones who drew it on the random draw?

New Mexico doesn't do points. It's a random draw every year. But as a non resident it has become very difficult to draw in NM. I've been pretty lucky though. I drew pronghorn last year, and elk this year.
