I am new to the forum and have enjoyed your posts and banter for the past few weeks. I just saw that a new member got spanked by a few of you for looking for some honey spot suggestions ! I try to learn from the errors of others ....
Ive been to WY on a few hunts but it was a long time ago, back in the late eighties I hunter The Two Ocean Pass area and had a great time I killed a few bulls and met some terrific and hardworking people who made my trips memorable. I hope to go back next year if the lottery gods at G&F are with me. I am fortunate that the same outfitter is still in the same camp and I have made a commitment to go with him if I draw.
I am amazed how things have changed, Griz while around were not as prevalent back then as I hear about now. Wolves ...well I bought a few "no wolves" bumper stickers in 88-89 and unfortunately we lost that battle. Its my understanding that the wolves have raised hell with the heard in unit #60 & #70. I had hunted the season opener back then as it was Sept 10th and the action was memorable, now I am told the units open Sept 20 ....hope the bugling continues that late.
I am also planning on applying for a deer tag, my friend tells me he still sees good bucks up high.
