Hello all I'm new to the forum world but I'm not new to the outdoors. I have the same passion as all of you and want to better myself in any way possible and what better way then the "forum life" . I hope to get info from the willing and give back to the people in need. I don't have any hunting friends here as I just moved from southern CA so I hope to build friendships and a lifetime of information. I pro staff in the waterfowl industry but also hunt big game. First animal was an Idaho black bear last year in Idaho. I'm hooked. Look forward to great conversation.

There are a few of us from Colorado on here so let us know where you hang your hat and someone may be close to you.

Welcome to the site.

Glad to have you. I've lived in both CO and CA. I only get back to CA to see family but I get to CO several times a year from my home in NC.

Coming in to land at DEN and seeing those great mountains puts a smile on my face every time! Heading up into them makes me almost giddy sometimes. The draw CO has for me never wears off.

Thanks for the kind words all. I will actually be moving in August and unfortunately won't be a resident in CO in time for archery. I'd love to just get out though and get involved and learn the land. Maybe help someone on their hunt to pack an animal out or just another set of eyes. I will be living just east of Brighton to start but depending on where I find a construction job that may change. Look forward to meeting some of you.

On a side note... Any of you have any construction hook ups? I'll be out there in late August and will be looking for work. I am a general contractor here in SoCal and have been in the industry for 16yrs. I'm 30yrs old and have a drive like no other. AND I speak Spanish. Haha thanks all!

It all depends on what type of construction you like to do and where you would like to live.

I live in the town of Gypsum that is 35 miles west of Vail, there is tons of work around the Vail and Aspen area, mostly new homes but also quite of bit of gut it and rebuild. The area is fantastic for hunting but the cost of living is through the roof.

Congrats on the move. Being in construction if you have a half decent work ethic and brain (sounds like you have both) you will have no problem finding a job...the "right" job is always another story. If you are looking to work in the mountains in Winter Park let me know, I have a close contact and they are looking for good people. They are very, very busy.
