New Mexico Elk unit 45

My buddies and I were lucky enough to draw Unit 45 for Sept 1-14 this year. I would appreciate any info. Leaning towards Pecos Wilderness. I don't care to hump it as far as it takes to get on some bulls and away from other hunters. I also would like any info on some packing out services in case we harvest one or three. Thanks in advance!

I had a hunting buddy also draw a tag in 45. So being I'm going to be helping him out on this hunt what size are the elk in this unit (what should he not pass)? We are both willing to go where ever we have to to make it happen. Also this is a rifle tag that he drew. Any information will help on this hunt.

Well if you're not worried about the miles I would suggest going up into those high mountain bowls with water in them. Seen some nice 340-350 class bulls in the years past.
