My names grant from TN I have hunted KS for past 10 years whitetail hunting and curious in going west to hunt. Been trying to get in shape for my first elk hunt hopefully in 2017. I work on Ohio TN and MS Rivers as a towboat pilot. We work 3 weeks on and 3weeks off so plenty time to hunt if it lands right or take off extra week. Single never married no kids absolutely love to bow hunt. Just started using crossbow in KS this past year and its an absolute game changer. Really can't wait to try some spot and stalk in Wyoming and Nebraska where its legal to use. I'm currently thinking about trying Alberta for my very first mule deer archery hunt with bow. Piecing together some glass for out west. I've got 6pp in Utah and one in Colorado, Arizona,Wyoming, and 3 for iowa but thats whitetail. Look forward to talking to everyone eventually. I'm not on here much at all but seem to be more all the time. Very informative page here! Sure I'm not much help out west but whitetail in Midwest I know a Lil bit about in Ky illinois iowa and ks.

Thanks, grant

Thanks guys!
Really looking to ramp up my western hunting over the next ten years. Going to Alberta mule deer hunting archery spot and stalk. Gonna learn Lil bit about glassing hopefully. Plan on doing a elk hunt 2017 haven't decided diy or guided. I'm thinking guided to learn something and set the bar.
Got a good friend who hunts Colorado every year OTC he enjoys riding horses and camping. He stays for month at time scouting and hunting. If works out I plan to hunt with him first time for few weeks get full experience.
