Wanted to say hello, I'm 39 married with 3 boys 16, 14,& 10 years old from central Virginia, I enjoy all forms of hunting, currently using modern archery tackle but have hunted with traditional equipment, also like my rifle, MZ and centerfire. I grew up hunting whitetails in the flatland, swamps, and cutovers here in VA. Started hunting national forest in the Appalachian mountains in the western part of our state about 7 years ago, small mountains by western standards but its all we have. Been reading about all I could find on back country hunting since, which brought me here. I would like to try a DIY western hunt one day, maybe 2017. Anyway I'm really enjoying the forum, learning much.
