Honestly....

-Inline Muzzleloaders
-1000 yard out of the box guns
-Bows that shoot +300fps
-Laser Rangefinders
-Crossbows in Archery Season
The list goes on and on and on.

All this new technology is cool but do the animals have much of a chance any more?

pretty soon, bows will draw themselves...not sure I like this most recent archery sight.

When I first saw this I thought “no way do I like this for archery hunting.” However there are a lot of other technologies out there that make hunting easier, A scopes rifle for instance. We already are allowed to use range finders and sights during the archery season. Maybe this decreases the number of times hunters miss judge the yardage on a shot he is going to take regardless. Maybe it can be allowed during the general seasons but not the archery season. Maybe it should be banned entirely.

I'm sure my grandpa said the same thing about those "new fangled rifle scopes" back in the day. I remember my dad was amazed at variable power scopes.

Technology changes...companies are always trying to get us to buy the latest and greatest. It will never end.

If you like the technology, get it. If not, then don't.

I'm just getting in to bow hunting...first thing that ran through my mind when i watched this video was, "man, that's cool. I need it."

Then I saw the price. I'll pass for now.

As long as I'm on the other end of a rifle / bow, every, and I mean EVERY animal has a chance. Pretty damn good chance, the way I shoot!

Honestly, I had three initial thoughts.

The first was- Ya the battery would die when I needed it most...

Second was - I bet you that thing takes one of those stupid odd sized batteries....

Third was - A lot can happen in 5 seconds (The time it takes to work the thing)

When my Dad became one of the original 100 founding members of the Pope & Young club he shot his 3 qualifying big game species with either his straight bow or his recurve with wooden arrows, feather fletching and no sights.

Nowadays bowhunters are only using parallel, split limbed, short axle to axle, eccentric cam compound bows that shoot extremely fast carbon arrows, with mechanical broadheads, shrink wrap fletching and lighted nocks off of drop away rests muffled by all sorts of silencers through various fiber optic sights after using an angle adjusting laser rangefinder from a high tech tree stand affixed with an ozone scent crusher while wearing a scent killing carbon impregnated suit with HD camouflage at a deer in a food plot that they've watched for months on an SD card in their computer from one of their multiple infra-red trail cameras.

These new sights just aren't fair.

Cool technology but ultimately it is not good for the sport of bowhunting. Glad it will be illegal in at least some states.
