New guy from Alaska. I'm either working on an icebreaker in the Arctic or home at the cabin. One of the lucky few that can start the hunt right outside my door. Totally off grid with no road access. I either fly in in the summer or snow machine in during the winter. No ATV access either.

I bought it from the original owner & builder. He flew everything into the big lake then attempted to carry everything uphill by hand. He quickly saw the error in his thinking and had a helicopter lift everything from the lake to hill. The guy then bored 20 anchors into the rock so he could secure the foundation. He told me it took many digging attempts to finally find enough dirt for the outhouse pit. Kept hitting rock. The outhouse never has to be moved because it flushes clean every spring during the melt.

They used to say that "The solution to pollution is dilution". That worked until too many people stayed in one place too long. I'd love to take a snowmobile trip up that mountain someday.
