Hi, my name is Jim and I have lived in Eastern Oregon nearly my whole life. Grew up on a ranch near Bonanza and have spent the last 45 years around Pendleton or Prosser Wa. My wife of 47 years and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our family. We have two sons, one is in public works and the other is a cop in Portland. Our daughters in law are both in education. We try to spend a lot of time camping in the Blues and the Owhyees. I hunt big game when ever I can or just join my family when ever anyone has a tag. I have hunted in Alaska and Washington. I enjoy trading and fixing older hunting rifles, but do not spend much time on shotguns or pistols. I am looking forward to a Wyoming Antelope with several family members during the next couple of years. Hope to learn the Forum process so I can communicate with fellow hunters when I have a question or a comment.

Just learning the ropes, thanks for the welcome. Got everything cleaned and put away fro the winter, now thinking about next year. I have 11 PP for elk so I think I am getting close to being able to hunt for more than a spike. We love the meat and the hunt but I have never had a shot on a good bull, I have just helped pack out a few. Do you have any advice on units that I might be able draw with 11 points? Thanks
