Looking at getting some insight. I plan on getting my hands on what I can in the store however in the store does not give them justice.

I have a old pair of monarchs 10 x 42 ( prob 10 years ) want something with more clarity brightness and better low light

I'm thinking these are on my list ( hope to buy demo or used prices )

will prob stick with with 10 x42 however temp to go 15 x 50's ( not carry spotter ) and keep my monarchs too.

1. Zen-ray prime HD 10 x 42

2. Meopta meostar b1 ( reg or HD) 10x 42

3. Vortex Viper Hd 10 x 42 or 15x 50

4. Vortex Razer HD 10 x 42

5. Zeiss Conquest HD 10 x 42

You can't go wrong with vortex brand and don't over look the talons. I bought those for my son, I use Sawro el 10x42 , though I'm very impressed with Vortexs, there warranty says it all also.

I bought a set of 10x42 viper hd from Hardstalk and I love them. To me the vipers showed a little more brightness at dusk over the talons, but they felt better in my hands and were smoother in use.

I have used the Vortex Razor HD 10x42, and Zeiss Conquest 10x42, Viper 10x42 and I like them in that order. I am really impressed with the Razor's and obviously with the Vortex Warranty. I can't speak for the others.

Ya I already read your post it was great , I can't spend 2 k on bins I'm looking at less then 1k so my choices I think are Meostar HD 10 x42 ( which maybe are the same as cabalas euro's , do they make them for them ? ) Vortex Razer HD 10 x 42 and the zeiss conquest HD 10 x 42 . I will prob try to find them used or demo price. Any insight JNDEER on this group . I'm up grading from a nikon monarch that is 9 years old . thanks for the help guys.

PS i did do a little looking at the primes on line just unsure if that would be a good upgrade .

my brother and cousin when checking out the binos at that time said if they only had $1k they would have picked the Vortex. I wear glasses and felt that for glasses the Meostar/Cabelas Euro HD felt a little better...between those two it was a close one. I put these two binos better then the conquest HD.

Great thanks man I need to get my hands on them. I found a pretty great deal used today on one of these just don't know if I want to pull the trigger without comparing them. Checked out the conquest in store today and was not really that stoked about them.

my feelings were the same on the conquest..... if you can get your hands on the razor/meostar to do the best comparison that is what I recommend.

I bought a pair of the vortex vultures in a 15x56. I used to use my buddies 15x50 swaro's but wanted my own pair of 15x binos without breaking the bank. The vultures are $499 and a good set of binos. If you do a lot of glassing i suggest 15x binos. Once you have hunted with 15x binos and realize the animals you have been missing with the 10x binos you will use the 10x binos not as much. You can pick out animals 10fold with the 15x compared to the 10x ..

My motto is to kill a big critter you first gotta find him and with 15x binos sure puts a big advantage in your favor...

I would strongly suggest looking at demo Leica trinovids. In my testing and to my eyes, much better than the ones you listed when compared head to head. Check out what cameralandny has in their demo list. A few months ago, they had some 10x42s for 1050.

On a side note, I picked up a like new pair of Swarovski slcs a few weeks ago for less than 1k...it can be done.

I believe you need to get hands on them. I had a pair of Leuopold Mohave's stolen a few years ago and when I went to buy new glass I looked at the Mohave's and also the Nikon Monarch 7, they where in my price range. The Monarchs to my eyes looked better than the Leuopold. What I didn't think about till this past fall having used them extensively was how the eye cups felt. The glass was really clear, but the eye cups hurt my eye sockets. So I'm in the same boat as you in upgrading my bino's. But I will make sure to put hands on as many bino's as possible. Food for thought!
