I will be taking my dad on a pronghorn hunt next week in unit 113. This will be our first antelope hunt so if I am able to take a decent buck I will probably cape and cap him for a shoulder mount but if he isn't quite big enough for a shoulder mount I am going with a euro mount. Since I can't bring an uncleaned skull back to TN due to CWD I would prefer to drop the head off at a local taxidermist to clean up and mail home. Does anybody have a taxidermist that they would recommend in the Kaycee, Casper area?

I don't think you really need a taxidermist here for the euro but it is smart to get a shoulder mount done by one who knows antelope. Some good ones in Casper, someone local should chime in on that. We use Darroll Bennett in Laramie, Bennett's Artworks.
Antelope are not carriers of CWD.

I shot an antelope last year in Unit 25. Dropped him off with Sundowner Taxidermy and the plan right now is to pick it up on October 14th while I'm out on a mule deer hunt. With that said, I can't tell you first hand yet about his work. I do know it's hard as heck to get him to answer the phone, and he doesn't return the call or text message.
In his defense the work I saw in the shop was good, and when he answers the phone, he's a nice guy.

If it is a one or two man shop then they might be busy and really don't need the extra business.

We used Living Legends Taxidermy last year for my partner's antelope. The mount came out beautiful and my partner is very happy with it.

Antelope can be transported across state lines as wy-tex says "they are not carriers of CWD" two years ago we transported 4 antelope heads back to Michigan and had our local taxidermist do the euro mount.

Prairie Wind was the taxidermist in Casper that was recommended to me on here, but he never answered the phone or returned the call that day.
I'm going to start bugging Kodi at Sundowner this weekend, and may just have to show up on the 13th/14th while I'm out there.

I had a pronghorn mount done a couple of years ago by Sundowner. Had no issues and it looks fine to me. Of course that doesn't mean they will be good for you but I had no problems at all.
