Anyone ever hunted the National Elk Refuge? I see they have permission slips for the middle of October still available. I just moved to the Pinedale area so I have no idea how pressure or anything is around there. Would the elk even be there right now? Just looking at all my options on this side of the state as I am unfamiliar with it. Thanks in advance.

Call the Jackson office of G&F with your questions. They are very helpful and willing to give info on all the hunting around Jackson.
You might look at the webcam for the refuge too, it helps see what kind of activity is on the refuge.
I used the various webcams in the area last year to help determine when to go up for my bison hunt.
With snow some may move onto the refuge.
