Looking for advice in applying for Wyoming Antelope tags. Suggested units, private, public, etc. Wife shot her first Nebraska goat this year ( first anything ) with her 243 TC Venture at 304 yds. She is stoked on the goat hunting.

I like to suggest the areas south of Gillette on both sides of HWY 59. Not sure what part of Nebraska, but its about three hours to the panhandle I think from Gillette. They maybe aren't the best areas as far as access or trophy sometimes, but there is some access. They are easy to draw I think. There are often leftovers to buy after the draw. Not sure how that works for non-resident. I have read it on here, but didn't really care enough to remember it, lol. The success rates are usually really good. I think they were a little spendy for private access. I heard like $450-$800 I think. There is a lot of private land, so access is a little tricky sometimes, but those GPS chips make it pretty nice to find the parcels to hunt. There area lot of walk-in acres around Lusk, WY, but I really haven't been there much. I see the antelopes in those walk-in areas a lot after the season driving by, though. A lot of times the easier to draw units don't have much access, so be a little careful that way when you are looking. The game and fish draw results come out before the draw date, so they are helpful to study and pick a unit. Plus the Eastmans MRS deal. If you can get that and look at the last couple years, I don't think they will change a whole lot, at least get you a rough idea of where to look.
