My daughter at the fishing derby

We went to the Lassen Sportsmans fishing derby today and my daughter took second place! I'm proud of her! Its sad that parents are teaching their children to cheat like they do, rules say limit 5 and you have to keep all of the fish you catch. I saw so many hooks pulled out of smaller fish and thrown back in bleeding like a siv. I'm glad we did it fair and square and still placed.

They couldn't have picked a nicer weekend to hold the derby, I was at Almanor this weekend pre-fishing for an upcoming tournament and flat got ROASTED.........caught some nice smallies too. Congraguate your daugter one more time for doing it right.

Nothing better than to see kids catching fish! When I lived in Downey, Ca. we used to sponsor a fishing derby in a city park that had 3 lakes. It was a blast to see kids having that much fun. Almost as good as when I took my son dove hunting for the first time!
