Muzzle Protector

What would you recommend to cover the muzzle during backcountry hunts? I've seen balloons, finger cots, tape, etc. In your experience what has worked the best? Thanks for the feedback (in advance)!

Tape is easy and cheap and works great. Remember also, you don't need to remove it to shoot. Doesn't effect accuracy.

A piece of tape or even saran wrap over the barrel and then a piece of tape wrapped around the barrel over it to insure it stays on will do the trick.

Plain old black electrical tape has been working for me for over 30 years.

duct tape works great just like the about said and does not affect accuracy, i have tested it and doesn't affect bullet

Plain old black electrical tape has been working for me for over 30 years.

Yup good old fashion electrical tape has worked forever and it peels off clean, no stickiness like duct tape.

I've always used electrical tape as well. I know people that use balloons, but I always have tape in the toolbox.

Good quality black electrical tape. Not the cheap stuff that leaves sticky crud when you remove it.
