If this gentleman continues to hang out where he is now for the next 2 1/2 weeks he should make it out of the hunting seasons. He is on a section of private property within town limits. But even if he heads back to the hills behind him he should be safe unless someone comes up with permission to cross the private which is unlikely.

I got these photos just before dark and he then chased a doe into a open field and it was too dark then to take another picture.

If I'm not mistaken I believe from the pictures that I know where that buck is, and know of this buck very well....

I would of liked to of got him as he was walking through a small patch of sage brush but it was dark enough by that time that my camera wouldn't focus.

4 years ago I watched his grandfather or even possibly his father in the same area but that buck was a lot smarter. He would never come out of the trees enough to get a picture of him and he as just as big if not a little bit wider. A lot of hunters were chasing him during the 4th season but they were all looking high when he was down in town courting his girls.
