Hi everyone. Looking for a little bit of insight into Unit 37 for Muleys. I'll be hunting the last 8-9 days of the season this year, hoping pre-rut is kicked in by then. Started my research and am just looking for any additional info you might be willing to share. Haven't decided if I'll be camping or staying in Thermopolis yet, so info regarding good camping areas is also appreciated. I'll be speaking with the Game and Fish biologists this week and next week, and also hoping to run down the local BLM guys as well. I'm a DIY guy, so it'll be all public land for me while I'm there - although I will take a look at some of the walk-in areas if they look decent. Thanks in advance. Hope you all have a great season.

See if you can still get a permission slip for Kirby Creek HMA, South side of the hunt area public and WIHA are worth checking out, NW corner in the cedar ridges holds deer too.
Good luck!

We are looking at 37 for next year. Please let me know how the hunt goes, any info is greatly appreciated. The only thing that scares me is that 2021 Eastman's MRS says 51.8 hunters per square mile? With only 125 deer tags, guessing there are other seasons going on at the same time as the deer hunt?

Thanks for the info go-deep. I really appreciate the help. unfortunately, I waited too long for the management area permits, but I have info for the walk-in areas already printed out. Any that you would recommend or eliminate from the stack? I do like those walk-in type areas. Most guys won't put in the effort to check them out.

Thanks go_deep. I was able to get some help from the staff at Fish and Game and got the permission slip for Kirby Creek. Just opened up a whole lot of new area to check out. Thanks again for the recommendation.
