Hey all,

With a few seasons wrapping up tomorrow in Wyoming, thought I would throw this out there. We are really in no mans land as far as pref points, with 7. Region G is not an option for us.

Starting to plan for 2017 and was looking at unit 116 for deer. Public access appears to be decent, and reading the Wyoming GF job completion reports show maybe a slow increase in deer numbers. Limited quota tags shows 75 antlered mule deer bucks tags were issued this year. I would imagine that there will be a few elk hunters in the area as well.

Been trying to get in touch with GW and biologist for the area, with no success yet, as I'm sure they are extremely busy. Anyway, just wondering if anyone had hunted 116 and what your thought are.

Thanks!

Hope your fall seasons were successful!!

Not sure about 116, but g and h is probably still the best areas. 6 points drew in g this year. Someone else may have some info on 116 for you.
We hunted f for two years, but more a migration hunt, very tough hunt. Thinking about Montana next year. Pay the big $$

Lostriver, unfortunately, the season dates in Region g don't work with our schedule, so we are looking for a hunt the last week in October. We are more about the experience of hunting in Wyoming than taking a trophy. We would be happy with a 140" buck easily. We have looked at other units like 34, which we could only possibly draw on a special tag, or 37, 118(which 7 points is overkill for this tag) are a few for example.
