Hi, guys I have read through all of the threads and posts I could find on Nebraska and Mule deer hunting, but only found one as recent as last year. Some good information, but much of it was from when Nebraska had just had the fire, EHD, and Blue tongue and populations were down.

While I know Nebraska is technically not in the West, I also know there are quite a few here that hail from the state or have hunted it in the past.

I was hoping if any of you were willing you could give some thoughts on where would be the best area in the state to take in a hunt. I know the Republican and Frenchman areas are reported to be great areas to harvest a good Mule deer, but I am thinking that is mostly private. Are there areas there open to public hunting? I am not afraid to walk and glass miles if I need to.

I am thinking of taking the hunt either this fall 2018 or next fall 2019.

Again, any information you want to share with me would be much appreciated.
You can post here or pm if you prefer. Thanks!
