Surprisingly I received my whitetail mount back from the taxidermist over the weekend. This was the buck I shot last October 2017. It turned out awesome! Got it hung up in the study-trophy room already.

Looks great! I will have to remember the cost of an additional overhead can light, strategically placed, in the overall cost of a mount. Congrats!

Looks good, I only have another 3 months to wait for my coues. That is if I want to drive down to Tucson to pick it up instead of waiting until February when I will go down javelina hunting.

He was an older deer. However, I believe the shadowing may be darkening it a bit. However, he has a very nice cape and chocolate horns.

One of the nicer bucks I've taken. I've taken most of my bucks with the stick-n-string, but have a taken a few with a gun.

The can-light was already there- lol, but it is a nice touch.

Same buck as in my profile picture to the right.

Nice mount! Be careful being too close to the light. Being a taxidermist and electrician, (depending on the type of light fixture it is) the heat from the lamp can damage the mount.

Low heat LED, so I'm good. Additionally, the light is not directly overhead and is not on often or for very long.
Thanks for the tip regardless as I'll remember when I I(hopefully) hang more trophies.
