Morel Mushrooms

It has been awhile since I've had morel mushrooms. What is your favorite recipe?

Dust em in some Andys fish fry and fry them in some olive oil. Or sauté them in some Kerrygold butter and put on top of a bison steak

my wife picked about 20 of them a couple of days ago on our property. Last year she put away about 100 of them. we just finished them up and the new ones are starting.

went looking in oregon over weekend. still just a wee bit early.found several different variety of shrooms but they were all still tiny.biggest found were cauliflower shroom

fresh picked,rolled in flour and sauted in butter, they where excellent on the moose steak.

last night we had them on elk. I do believe elk and morel's are the best combo.

I like to roll them in flour, fry them, then put on buttered bread for sandwiches. Also, for breakfast I like to put them in scrambled eggs and fry.

Problem for me is they haven't growed well for a long time and I haven't had a great mess to go through! Would love to find at least a hundred. The crispiness from preparing the for the sandwiches is to die for.

Went out yesterday after work for a couple hours on my buddies place and found a few. Saw a lot of small ones, so I think they're just starting to flush. Spent more time watching a large flock of turkeys. May go out Sat morning and see if I can't whack one of those toms.
