More moose near Anchorage

I saw these bulls and cow while hiking near Anchorage this morning. Fun to watch. The cow is moaning and the bulls are interested but I didn't see her bred. The two bigger bulls never sparred but had no love for each other.

When I was up there in '05 for The Wildlife Society Meetings we went for a hike east of Anchorage, I think in Chugach park. We saw some rutting bulls...

Those are really nice pics. I need to start figuring out a way to hunt moose in Alaska sooner than later.

I love Alaska. It must be awesome to live there and get to experience this kind of stuff a lot. I have been wanting to moose hunt ever since I was there when I was a teenager. Hopefuly one of these years I will be able to make it up there. I really like seeing these pictures it just fuels my fire to want to come there.
