Anybody find success yet? I am headed out the door now, raining pretty good and light is flat so I hope I can put the sneek on a big goat. Post up your pics!

Well my 10 year old boy and I put a belly stalk in pouring rain on about a 16 1/2 inch goat. Got to 60 yards and the darn thing wouldn't stand up so after laying there for 30 minutes we sat up on our knees and he still just laid there. As soon as I drew he got up and took a couple shuffle steps away from us, I held right on him and let it sail. Shot just under is brisket! It was an awesome stalk, glad to have my son see the whole deal.

Very cool! Are the numbers still down pretty low around Roy? I didn't even put in for one this year. The numbers have been so bad. I think there were only 250 either sex tags for 480 when usually when numbers are good there are 1200 either sex and another 1000 doe/fawn. I would not mind seeing FWP not sell any for a couple years at least to give them a chance to rebound. But that is how they survive/make their money!! Maybe it's time we do something in the legislature to try and get them some hard funding that is always there and they can count on.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

The numbers are still down compared to when antelope were in their hay day, but they are coming back slowly but surely. I don't even bother putting in for rifle tags anymore and just go after them with my bow. I am a bad enough hunter that they are still pretty safe.

I was in the big hole this weekend too. The one buck I was trying to get was raking sage brush and pawing at the ground. Was pretty fun to watch!
