I know a guy that realized a few days after applying he had put in for archery instead of rifle. He called the local fwp office and I believe they changed it for him. Minor change and was done right away, but that was also a few years ago. It would at least be worth the phone call.

Isn't archery and firearm the same license?? You just need to buy an archery stamp if you want to go bowhunting, correct??

For a general tag/area you are correct. In a limited draw area they have separate numbers for the permit numbers. For example 798-20 and 798-00. Different for rifle, archery, cow, etc.
