Midwest Trade Show?

I am planning a backpacking trip to Colorado next year, and I'm having a difficult time comparing certain products (packs especially!) without being able to put them on and use them. Without being able to put them on and use them. Does anybody know of a good show somewhere in the Midwest I could go to get a goo does anybody know of a good show somewhere in the Midwest that I could go to get some hands on experience with some of the gear I am looking at purchasing?
